Hey friends. This is the first episode of something new I have been working on called Home Grown.
Home Grown is a series where I sit down with local business owners, club organizers, and entrepreneurs across the Raleigh-Durham area to hear the real story behind what they built. The people who started with an idea, took the risk, and made it happen in the Triangle. These are the people who make this area what it is.
For the first episode, I went to Poppyseed Market in Raleigh and sat down with the owner, who happens to be an Iron Chef winner. The story behind this place is exactly what Home Grown is all about. It is a business rooted in craft, passion, and a deep connection to this community.
We talked about how Poppyseed Market came to be, what it took to build it, what it means to be a local business owner in Raleigh, and what the Triangle community has meant to their journey.
This is the kind of story that does not get told enough. There are thousands of people in this area who woke up one day, bet on themselves, and built something from scratch. I want to highlight as many of them as I can.
If you are a local business owner, club organizer, or entrepreneur in the Raleigh-Durham area and want to be featured on Home Grown, reach out. I would love to tell your story.
